How To Use The Online
Design Lab
Follow these simple steps and suggestions to create your
one-of-a-kind personalized bottle opener or custom printed business
cards!
-Click on
Start Designing to launch the
Online Design
Lab.
-Notice that at the top of the design Lab there are tabs with
numbers & names at the top: 1 Catalog, 2 Design, 3 Size & Qty, 4
Save, 5 Checkout and Login.
-Select a Product:
first, from tab 1 Catalog: select the category, then the product you are interested in.
This will automatically take you to Tab 2 Design.
-Add Art:
From Tab 2 Design: choose a piece of art from our extensive gallery, and click the "Add
Art" button. Make sure to scroll all the way down to see all
the categories. Note that there are multiple pages of art for
many categories; in those cases you will notice the "Next"
button available which is located at the top after the number of
images per page. Once placed on the product you can then use the "Properties"
box to change width, height and angle of the image. Use the mouse to
position it over the product. Use the "Color Properties"
box to change color. You can also test your design on any of the
other templates of the same product. DON'T FORGET THAT THERE ARE
2 SIDES TO EACH OPENER, CLICK ON "SWITCH PRINT LOCATION TO DESIGN ON
SIDE 2.
Add Custom Text:
use the "Add Text" button on the left to bring up our font
(letter style) selection screen, choose the font and type the
desired text. Once the text is entered you can then use the "Text
Properties" box to modify font, text, curvature / warping and
letter spacing. Use the other Property boxes to manipulate
size, angle and color.
Use Layers:
layers allow you do arrange each individual piece of art from back
to front so that you can get the desired look. Creative use of
layers will result in an outstanding final product. Use the arrows
to move the highlighted layer up or down. Don't be afraid to
experiment with multiple layers and blown up images. TIP: You
may take the black box shape from the "Shapes" art category, make
sure it is on the bottom of all the layers, stretch it so that it
covers the entire product & then change the color. PRESTO! You have
changed background color of your product and you can make it
whatever color you like on any product.
Use Tools:
Use the various tools to zoom in and get a closer look at your work,
toggle between side 1 and 2 of your bottle opener, or change the
color of the product without having to redo the design.
Uploading Your Own Art:
It's very easy to upload your own images, logos, drawings or photos.
For best results, we accept high resolution (300 dpi is best)
.jpeg, .png or .gif image files. You can use our “Remove White”
feature to remove pure whites if needed. For more information on

-Quantity: From Tab 3 Size & Qty: select the quantity of each product
you would like, and remember that discounts on larger quantities are
automatically applied to multiple products of the same type and
design. The Online Design Lab will provide you with the final price
of your order. Then you may add another product or you may save your
product(s) for later editing or you may checkout if you are ready.
-Add Another Product to Your Order: Once you have completed the
design of your first product and selected the quantity, click on tab
1 Catalog to start over again with a new product or color:
select a different product or color from tab 1 Catalog,
design on your product in tab 2 Design, select quantity from
tab 3 Size & Qty, and repeat to add yet another product.
SAVE ONLY AFTER ALL PRODUCTS HAVE BEEN DESIGNED & QUANTITY FOR EACH
HAS BEEN DETERMINED.
-Save Your Work:
it's simple and FREE, just click on tab 4 Save and login, if you
don't have an account it will only take 30 seconds to set one up and
it's free! Once logged in, you can save all your individual designs
separately or all together under one name
for later editing. Once logged in, you may also view your account and order
history and status.
-Checkout:
Once you are happy with the finished design all there is left is to
process you payment and order. Shop with confidence! All
transactions are safe and secure; we are protected by Network
Solutions, Safe Site SSL and PayPal. IMPORTANT: We accept
PayPal and all other major credit cards. You DO NOT need a
PayPal account to make purchases. We use PayPal to process all
online purchases so that you can shop safely, securely and with
confidence.
Production: Once the transactions is complete we will
begin preparing your order, order are completed between 4 and 7
business days from the point of purchase. Shipping is usually 2 to 6
business days unless otherwise specified or agreed upon.
SHIPPING TO HW, PR & AK: Openers will have the free shipping
special applied, all custom printer paper goods (business cards,
flyers...) will have a $25.00 surcharge per 1000 units for delivery
to any address in Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Alaska. This charge will
be placed after your order is received.
